Access opens in waves
The service opens gradually: you first sign up on the waiting list, and access is granted as places become available. Once invited, the trial covers 100 records for 7 days, extendable in one click, with no credit card. When it ends, your records await you in read-only mode and remain exportable.
Beyond 2 500 objects
For teams, local authorities, a bespoke cataloguing profile or a public tender, the dedicated idéesculture offer takes over: dedicated server, training, assisted migration. You don't start from scratch — the collection moves house.
The waiting list is open
A few fields — first name, last name, email address, country, and the subdomain you have in mind. Your address is used only to let you know when the service opens, it is passed to no one, and a link to remove yourself goes out with the acknowledgement.

Choose your address
A subdomain, checked available at sign-up, and a cataloguing profile: "collector" by default, or "Musées de France" if the regulatory framework applies to you. This choice is hard to change afterwards, and we tell you so beforehand.

Describe your objects
One record per object, with its photographs. The editor keeps it brief on the collector profile, and unfolds the full framework on the Musées de France profile.

Publish your showcase
You decide what is public, object by object. The showcase is included in every plan — showing your collection is part of the service.

How does the trial work?
Once invited, the trial covers 100 records for 7 days, extendable in one click, with no credit card.
Can I get my data back?
At any time: records and photographs export in open formats. No data is held hostage, including after a subscription ends.
What becomes of my collection if I stop?
Your records switch to read-only and remain exportable. Nothing is deleted unless you have asked for it.
Where are my photographs hosted?
In Europe. Originals are kept just as you upload them — a TIFF stays a TIFF — and only those originals count towards your quota.
Can I change plans?
Yes, in both directions. Beyond 2 500 objects, the dedicated idéesculture offer takes over and the collection moves house without starting from scratch.
Do I have to be an archivist?
No. The "collector" profile keeps it brief; the museum vocabulary is there if you want it, never imposed.
